Welcome to IAHA Online

The Illinois Association of Housing Authorities (IAHA) was formed in 1961 as a statewide, non-profit organization established to unite the housing authorities in the state of Illinois.  The organization is a self-sustaining group using its resources to evaluate, educate, exchange ideas, and address the membership's individual and collective needs. The IAHA currently serves 100+ public housing authorities and agencies in Illinois.

The organization is primarily concerned with the policies of state agencies and state programs as they relate to the operation of housing programs, and the implication of national policies at the state and local level.

EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS RETREAT
June 19 & 20 2012
Pere Marquette State Park

The IAHA is sponsoring an Executive Director’s Retreat to be held on June 19 & 20th at Pere Marquette Lodge and Conference Center.  Set in the rolling bluffs just outside Grafton, Illinois, overlooking the scenic Illinois River, Pere Marquette State Park is a treasure-trove of nature and picturesque beauty. The centerpiece of the park is the massive lodge and adjacent guest houses. The lodge has a rich heritage dating back to the 1930's and has a distinctive flavor of native stone and rustic timbers. Today the old has been skillfully blended with the new, providing first-class accommodations in an historical setting.

This Retreat is envisioned as an opportunity to become better acquainted with your peers, and to have an opportunity for a free exchange of information, questions, concerns, ideas, and ideals.  Accordingly we are developing an agenda that is both structured and unstructured, including an “Ask the Attorney” session with Mr. Kevin Blaine from AHRMA.

The Retreat will begin in the Lodge at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 19th. Prior to that, however, we are requesting attendees to get together for lunch in their restaurant, with each person paying for their own meal.  After the conclusion of that afternoon session, we will get together for a social hour and a group dinner from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M.  On Wednesday morning we will have breakfast, followed by two sessions that will conclude at noon, bringing our Retreat to a conclusion.

We have reserved a block of 40 rooms at the Lodge, for $70.00 per night. The block will be released on May 15th, so please call (618) 786-2331 now if you would like to attend.

Expect another email soon directing you to send your questions to Attorney Blaine in advance, and requesting you to share anything that you want to be sure to have covered during our Retreat.

Thereafter, expect to receive a registration form. The cost of this Retreat will be minimal (that's a promise!) Spouses are welcome! So please reserve your room now!

IAHA Refund Policy

IAHA does not issue refunds in the event of cancellation unless 31 days prior notice is given and then the IAHA will issue a $50.00 refund.
